Be careful what you say...or pray for

So this last week or so has been an adventure. Those of you that know Mike know he likes to make my life very eventful.
This time around I was the one to stop him on a dime.

I surprised him by taking 3...yes 3 pregnancy tests to confirm the results I was given! This wasn't planned people it just happened. Who wants to have 3 children 18 months apart? No complaints here. We tried for 4+ years to have a baby and now we are blessed not to have to use fertility after Ryan. But obviously our goal is not to be like the Duggar Family!
So congrats to Mike.
Your going to be a daddy again!

60

My mom celebrated her 60th birthday on Tuesday. She wasn't here for us to really let her know she is over the hill. As she was enjoying nature at Yosemite she got her wish.

It snowed. Just for her.

I called her to say I was thinking of her and if she woke up that morning any different. She said she did. She actually did. I told her well 60 can be an intimidating number. A number thats all. She just said she can't believe she would ever get to this age so fast.
As I hung up with her I was thinking of all the things she has done for me. That is a lot of things to think about! It would take me 10 years.

Moms are a blessing.

I would like to share with you a few reasons why I love my mom so much.

1. She loves her grandchildren unconditionally.

2. She can sure mend stuff like it was nothing.

3. She is a great traveler.

4. She is a great teacher. (especially to my children)

5. She has a very good sense of humor.

6. She watches my children for free.

7. She loves chocolate truffles.

8. She is a great cook!

9. She sets a good example.

10. She loves her animals.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Turkey sandwiches, Bathrooms, and a Fuel Pump

So it been awhile since I have last posted. Spring break has come and gone and Easter is just around the corner. We have been busy bees. So here is a recap of what has happened in that last couple weeks.

I think we pretty much had the most expensive Spring Break ever! We left Friday the 13th and enjoyed the ride until the 1st car sickness from Ryan. Then it came again and again. 3 times!!! That kid was naked by the time we got there.

Mikes sister Madison played I don't know how many softball games which I enjoyed watching. It seemed like deja vu every time I went to the fields. We got some sun, ate snacks and took Ryan to the playground a million times. When I say "we" it really included just Travis. Having a 13yr old uncle that does everything with you who wouldn't want to be with him 24/7?

Then the bathroom remodel. It amazes me how something can be changed into something else in a few days. As Mike and his dad worked we enjoyed playing Rock Band, watching movies, eating about 2lbs of turkey sandwiches and baking cookies.

Since we stayed in Madison's room, I always find a selection of books to read. The one that was on her nightstand was Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. Every time I had to put a kid to nap I read a little of it. I really liked it. So after I finished it we went and rented the movie. Its so not the same but I did like it.

So the day before we were planning to leave our car was having problems. Let say it was the fuel pump. Good thing we were still in St. George and the Moores knew a mechanic. They had to shuttle the part from Las Vegas, which postponed us leaving until Monday. I know we over welcomed our stay but hey we are family.

In the end, we returned to the Valley safe and sound. Ryan had battle scars from his stay (typical 2 yr old) along with telling everyone he got sick in a cup. Maya came back learning how to crawl.

I hope the Moores aren't sick of us.

Here we go again!

So we are planning to go to St.George, Utah to see Mikes family this Friday and staying the next week. Its unusual that we are heading up to see them during this time of year. They usually come down and fill the time with Spring Training Baseball. But there are no complaints here. The only one we have is IF Ryan tosses his cookies on the way there. I think I am going to invest in a bucket. We are counting the days Utah!

Our goal hasn't been achieved

It seems like our little guy finds the "binky" without us looking. We wanted to have this gone by 2. But it doesn't seem like he has kicked the habit.

Guilt all over that face!

This is why....

I am here sitting at home on my day off and the house is quiet. It seems like old times. I have been thinking of all the different reasons why we moved back to Mesa. And I am sure grateful we moved back closer to family.

We celebrated Veronica's birthday at my cousin Sophia's house. Since it was Friday the 13th she hosted a dinner. It was a game "How to Host a Murder" I think. It was like Clue. It was very fun and the dinner was wonderful.

Far Left to Right-Veronica, Keith, Mike, Jacqueline, Sophia, Suzette, Brian, Solana, and Adam.

(The other people that are not shown are Sara and Glen. They were the "servants" in the kitchen.)

Then after a yummy dinner we had to play Rock Band, hang out with Bruce, and enjoy a relaxing night until 11:45pm!

P.S.-We missed you Tyler!

Show Low

This last weekend we headed up to Show Low for our niece Michelle's blessing. We left late Friday night and we weren't but 2 miles from the valley when Ryan puked. We don't know why this is a trend for him but it happened twice on the way up. Poor kid. I know its my fault too. I use to tease my sister Veronica for being carsick and always having to sit in the front. I should of been nicer to her. Look what happens. Hee hee!

We stayed at a lovely condo with Mike's family. We had so much fun with them. I have to say we have missed them terribly. The typical staying up until 2am just talking and laughing. There is not much we need to have a good time.

As you can see my coolest brother in law Trevor doesn't take much to make us laugh. Then we got Ryan into it. Just harmless fun! Until...the lady downstairs from us didn't really appreciate us having a good time at 1:30am. She had to make it known by a knock on the door asking us to keep it down. Good thing the extended family wasn't with us....that would of been a true complaint!

We got up the next morning and headed to Sunrise. There were some dog sledding races going on. The weather was perfect. We saw more family and had the joy of introducing the snow to Ryan. Yes, he is 2 years old and it was his first experience with snow.

Thanks to my cousin Maria for having the proper equipment for Ryan to play in the snow. He loved it! He loved it even more when Uncle Jim and Dad taught him how to make a snowball and throw it. He kept saying "cold".

We hung out there for awhile, saw the lodge etc and headed back. By this time babies had to be feed and put to bed for naps. I think Ryan need a little R&R from the drive and late night.

Ryan's Hang over!
We had a great evening with everyone. We went to church for the blessing and then the goodbyes. The Moore's were leaving. Bye "Papa Scott" Bye "Grandma" Bye "Trev" Bye "Madt" Bye "Trav". Those were from the sweetest boy Ryan.

OH, I forgot one thing. Ryan went into their car the night before to go back to the condo and guess what??? Puke! Thanks to Madison feeding that kid a million grapes! Poor kid.

We stayed hung out, ate and watched the Super Bowl. No need to say more about that! It was a wonderful weekend and as always..... We love you Show Low!

Raygon your still so lovely...

As we were leaving the house for Show Low on friday night I ran into an old friend.

Raygon that lives in Idaho was visiting her family just 2 houses away from me. I saw her get out of her car along with her oh so handsome boys! I couldn't just pass by. As we hugged and talked for just the short 5 minutes we had to spare we tried to catch up on our lives. And of course as devoted bloggers we had camera in hand.
We said our goodbyes and as I drove away those childhood memories came flooding back. You know those ones of Barbie playing, Flintstones collecting, and the typical fighting and making up kind of drama. OH those were good times. All I needed to make it complete was Traci. Oh, how I miss her and Raygon. But look now, we are mommies and follow each others blog almost daily. Good thing for that. Blogging is not so bad after all.

Brings back memories....

If you were like me, this should bring back those Junior High days.

French Fries and Ice Cream...yummy!
