Labor Day Weekend

Mike's sister Brooke and husband Jim live in Show Low and we visited them over Labor Day. As you can see Ryan was a little disappointed about the rain. Well not really he was just upset mom made him put on a sweater. Yes, it was cold enough for pants and shoes! That is why we needed a break from this heat and drove up to country!

Mike and Ryan discussing why he needs to wear a hat. Rain won't melt me DAD!

Oooohhh grass!!!!!! Isn't this so tempting to just take those shoes off and run through this? Brooke and Jim sure have done alot of work with their yard. Its beautiful. Yea, I'm jealous I'd admit! When we arrived and got out of the car we smelled the sweet smell of freshly cut grass!! Thank you Jim!

It was sooo nice to have rain outside and the doors open. Oh Sundays in Show Low! Especially when you are watching Planet Earth and holding a beautiful baby. Even though you only see her head. And is that reddish hair I see? I got a little worried...but red highlights are beautiful! :)

We went to Taylor for the Sweet Corn Festival. We got some corn on the cob and Ryan went to the petting zoo. He really liked the baby goats.

Since Ryan really hasn't worn jeans since he started walking, we realized these pant were to big! So Jim got some rope from the shed and looky here... we have a belt! Oh and look at the beautiful grass in the back yard! Heaven! We were lucky enough to sit outside in the late evening and make smores! It was so nice to bundle up Maya and sit in front of a fire with our family. I even saw a shooting star!

Here is a video clip of Ryan having fun with his Uncle Jim. Since there is not much to do in Show Low....Jim sure knows how to entertain! Honestly, I think he was tired of saying "you cry like a little girl" He is going to be such a good dad!

That is funny what you said about "reddish" hair. I am pretty worried about that. You think that Bryan's red hair will come out on our children?
